How it Works

A member of our Acquisitions team will discuss your item(s) with you via phone to determine the best auction venue to showcase your items and get the best results for your consignments. At this time we will discuss a potential reserve and estimate for your item, as well as other important terms and conditions.
Someone from our staff will notify you when your items arrive. Your items will be logged in, inspected and tagged in preparation for cataloging.
Your items are cataloged by experts who have decades of experience. This process will include material analysis, dimensions & measurements, context of use in production, condition, provenance and more.
Your items are professionally photographed for our printed catalog and marketing materials.
A printed catalog will be distributed to our vast client base of designated department collectors followed by extensive PR campaigns will then distribute to numerous news outlets (TV, magazines, newspapers,) and digitally via e-mail marketing and social networks including Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Additional marketing will also take place through our online bidding partners Invaluable & eBay Live Auctions.
On auction day people from all over the world will be bidding on your item(s) via the Internet with Invaluable and eBay Live Auctions, by telephone, live in-person or by placing an absentee bid.
Auction proceeds are distributed to all consignors 45 business days following the date of sale (excluding holidays & weekends).
