Other Items Include Michael Jackson’s White Glove and Sequined Cardigan From “Billie Jean” stage performances and Many More Hollywood Treasures

Calabasas, CA, May 2, 2016 – Profiles in History, the world’s leading auction house for Hollywood memorabilia, today announced their next Hollywood Auction will take place June 29th through July 1st. Auction items from favorite movies, TV shows and music create a unique opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood history. Whether you are a collector or a fan, there is something for everyone to enjoy, and this year the items are more exciting than ever.

Rarely seen items from Prince make their way onto the auction scene with the signature motorcycle jacket from “Purple Rain” (Warner Bros. 1984) worn in an iconic scene from the film. The black and white jacket with leather sleeves from the Academy Award winning film marked the acting debut for the music legend.

“The world lost a musical icon when Prince passed away, but now his legacy can live on with this jacket and other pieces” said Joe Maddalena, President, Profiles in History. “Very rarely are items from this superstar available for auction, so this creates a special event for us and for the world of collectors.”

Other items available in the Hollywood Auction include:

  • Michael Jackson’s black sequined “Billie Jean” concert-worn performance cardigan worn during the HIStory tour in 1996
  • Michael Jackson’s stage worn right hand white Swarovski crystal studded glove from the Dangerous World Tour in 1992
  • Britney Spears’ three-piece performance worn costume from “Baby One More Time”
  • Katy Perry’s stage worn sequined bras
  • Alicia Keys’ stage worn fur hat from “As I Am” and “Diary” tours
